My group with Tokyo Cigar (The Plexiglass Fountain) just dropped our first album "Left of the Scenery." This 17 track project is without a doubt one of the best things I've ever been a part of musically. Proph the Problem- "Midwest Fresh" (Mixtape)

Proph the Problem's new mixtape hosted by DJ G-Spot reminds me exactly why he's one of the best underground artists out. Simply put, he's versatile. Instead of relying on one lane, the Cleveland native manages to create a mixtape with something for everyone (and everything is done very well).  "Midwest Fresh" also has a few surprises that make it even more worth downloading including a long awaited Proph collaboration with Drastic. Conscious' new song "I Wish" is a must for any Hip Hop head's playlist. Staying true to his name, Conscious delivers a very interesting and logical view of the world. The poem at the end  is also fantastic.

This Black Sunn and D. Julien collaboration produced by Mydus is guaranteed to stay on repeat. Both The Black Sunn and D.Julien come with top notch verses over Mydus' monster of a beat. Also check out The Black Sunn's recent album "Godsound," personally one of my favorite releases of 09.

The Cause's new song "Weed Plate" produced by DJ Relics screams New Jersey Hip Hop. The beat is on point and The Cause gives one of his best lyrical performances. Definitely something worth listening to. Look out for their upcoming mixtape "Return of The Emcee" coming soon.
